Porsche and partner Charge+ expand the network of high-capacity charging stations from Southeast Asia to Vietnam

Porsche and partner Charge+ announced a project to develop 17 high-power (DC) charging points spanning over 1.700km in Vietnam, providing a seamless cross-country experience for electric vehicle owners.

Following the latest announcements about the pure electric Macan as well as the fully upgraded Taycan, Porsche announced the deployment of a high-performance DC charging network in Vietnam with partner Charge+, a charging solution provider. This project will provide 17 new fast charging locations nationwide over the next 3 years, while two existing high-capacity charging stations at Porsche Saigon Center and Porsche Studio Hanoi will also be integrated into the application. The first 9 charging points in phase one of the new charging station network with a capacity of up to 180kW will be ready to go into operation before the first half of 2025, located in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. In addition, two charging stations are available at Porsche centers now providing a maximum charging capacity of 350kW. The next 8 charging points will be set up in stages and are expected to be completed in the first half of 2027 with key locations such as Thanh Hoa and Quy Nhon.

The cooperation between Porsche and Charge+ is also a premise for further expansion of the charging station network in the future when conditions are suitable. Once completed, the charging network will mark an important milestone in electric vehicle infrastructure in the Vietnamese market, helping electric vehicle users feel secure on their journeys across the country. Preferential charging fees along with exclusive privileges for new owners of Porsche electric cars will be announced in the near future.

The project announcement ceremony with the participation of representatives of partners took place at Porsche Studio Hanoi. Here, Dr. Henrik Dreier, Director of New Business Development Porsche Asia Pacific, Mr. Andreas Klingler, General Director of Porsche Vietnam and Mr. Goh Chee Kiong, Managing Director of Charge+, met and congratulate the official implementation of the project. The introduction of this widespread fast charging network not only affirms Porsche Vietnam's commitment to innovation and sustainable development, but also marks a major step forward in the strategy of developing charging station infrastructure in the region.
