Israel announced that it has launched a pilot project to produce solar power using an artificial intelligence (AI) control system.
This solar power production system is designed to move in a water storage tank and follow sunlight. The advantage of this system is high productivity and can cope with climate change and harsh weather.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Finance and the Israel Innovation Authority, the pilot solar power project also has the participation of Xfloat - an Israeli company that develops smart floating systems, and the national water company Mekorot. Specifically, Xfloat's floating panels will be installed in Mekorot's water storage tanks (photo). Electricity can be provided to all customers, including industrial plants and households thanks to its cheap and clean cost.
Previously, in February, Israeli scientists also found a method to store solar energy and produce electricity at night... During the day, excess energy from solar panels will be down a system where water is used to condense the air and store it in underground tanks. After sunset, air is released to help the turbines generate electricity.
The new project is within the framework of a national program, with the participation of 4 startups selected by the Israel Innovation Authority to test new innovative technologies, with government capital accounting for maximum 50%.
