ACCOMPANYING WITH THE BAN MAI KIEN SCHOOL SYSTEM TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

On February 24, GREEN IN coordinated with Ban Mai School System to organize a "Training session on building and operating the Eco School Club", starting a series of activities accompanying Ban Mai Primary and Secondary School. Effectively operate the Climate Action Club - Eco School.

Students are one of the vulnerable groups due to the effects of climate change and air pollution. Therefore, with the desire to bring environmental topics into the school's educational program for students, to encourage them to learn and take action to adapt to climate change, GREEN IN and the Ban Mai school system Build and operate an environmental club called Eco School.

Like a real member of the club, teachers can also watch videos, express opinions, share experiences, make presentations... on 4 activity topics. There are both new and familiar interwoven in each presentation. Because the climate is not strange to each of us, it seems that somewhere, in our busy daily lives, we forget to pay attention and take care.

Opening the series of companion activities, the program "Training on building and operating the Eco School Club" brought together 20 teachers of Ban Mai Primary and Secondary School to learn about the most up-to-date knowledge and information about 4 topics. Topics: Climate change, Clean energy, Clean air, Waste management. "A load of books is not equal to a good teacher." The knowledge and support of teachers and schools will be a solid fulcrum to help the club operate effectively and sustainably.

GREEN IN presented 2 gifts to representatives of Eco School Club of Ban Mai Primary and Secondary School.

Part 2 of the training session focuses on sharing how to deploy and operate an environmental club. With the goal of building the Eco School Club into a center to lead and create actions towards smart schools adapting to climate change, the teachers of Ban Mai Primary and Secondary School have worked together to complete Club construction plan in the next 3 months. At each level, students have different unique characteristics. Therefore, the supporting role of the teachers in charge at each school is extremely important in guiding what topics, what activities... to nurture the passion for learning and acting for the climate in children.

Teachers discuss in groups to build clubs.

In the coming time, GREEN IN will continue to accompany the Ban Mai school system to organize many activities to improve knowledge and skills, and take climate action for teachers and students. The goal is to build the Ban Mai school system to develop sustainably according to ESG standards (Environment - Society - Governance).
