Theo the action program on green energy transition, carbon and methane emission reduction of the transport sector (Decision 876), and updated Nationally Determined Contributions for 2022 (NDC 2022), the transportation industry has outlined specific timelines and processes to realize the goal of reducing emissions, aiming for Net zero by 2050. Thus, the need for human resource training is prepared. Getting ready for the transition to electrification of the transport sector is one of the top priorities (according to Decision 876).
Starting from the thought: If you want to have good students, you must have good teachers, GREEN IN organized the training course "Future lecturers of the electric automobile industry" exclusively for automobile industry lecturers for two days August 29-30/ 8 in Hanoi. The program took place with the participation of 2023 automotive lecturers from colleges and universities across the country. Directly leading the training class are 22 teachers from Hanoi University of Science and Technology: Associate Professor. Dr. Dam Hoang Phuc, Director of Automotive Technical Training Program; Dr. Le Van Nghia and PhD. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Lecturer in automotive engineering, Faculty of Dynamics and Mechanical Engineering.
Emphasizing practicality and closeness to students' needs, training content is designed according to GREEN IN's previous survey on students' information needs as well as training requirements of the electric car industry. In addition to the basic content, the training intertwines the most up-to-date knowledge about autonomous vehicles, the development of electric vehicles in the world, practical learning on the Vinfast VF8 electric vehicle.. And to increase connectivity, it also increases connectivity. Like "recharging" energy for each class session, GREEN IN intertwines many games and soft activities throughout the 2 days of training. Through these games, the Organizing Committee wants to convey a message: With just small improvements, teachers themselves can change their training methods and methods in a creative and innovative direction. to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs right in the classroom.
With the characteristics of the electric vehicle industry associating learning with practice, participating students all have the same desire to learn hands-on right on real products. Therefore, the next morning, the practical class on the Vinfast VF8 with the enthusiastic guidance of Mr. Phuc met the students' expectations. Sharing the teacher's real daily experiences with the electric vehicle makes the class even more exciting and inspiring.
Out of hundreds of applications to participate in the program, the training course only accommodated 22 students - the same teachers who were standing directly on the podium. There are still many learning and training needs that remain unanswered. Therefore, the training course will be continued with a program to support initiatives to organize similar trainings at the regional and local scale. In order for a training course to be spread to more regions, many local clusters accompany GREEN IN to spread knowledge about electric cars. Hopefully one day soon, this knowledge will be transferred into lectures and curricula in automotive training units. Until electric cars are popular in the Vietnamese market, the human resources serving the entire electric car industry will also meet the needs of the market - one of the driving forces to help the electric car market thrive. strong and comprehensive.
