Promoting opportunities for application of advanced technology for Vietnamese businesses (Part 3)

On the last day in Taiwan, GREEN IN's delegation moved to Taipei. Here, the delegation had working sessions and exchanges with Delta Group and Micro Electric Company about green transformation solutions for businesses.

The delegation was really impressed by the useful and groundbreaking solutions of Delta Group - a multinational corporation with a long history established in 1971. Delta focuses on solving environmental problems, climate change by providing innovative solutions in the fields of clean energy and efficient energy use, specifically withthin the area of Power Electronics, Automation and Infrastructure technology.

Delta provides many energy saving products with the world's leading high efficiency levels, including solar inverters (PV Inverters) with efficiency up to 99.2%. 90% of Delta products save energy, this savings has been calculated and verified by a third party. Since 2010 - 2022, these products have saved nearly 4 billion electricity (this amount of electricity can supply the entire Germany for 1 month), equivalent to reducing 21 million tons of CO2.

In addition, Delta has integrated and implemented ESG criteria in their activities. They have joined the RE100 initiative, the Carbon Neutral Commitment in 2030, committed to reducing the carbon concentration of factories by 56.6% by 2025 (by 2022, it will be reduced by 71%)

At COP21, Delta had an exhibition of 21 of the group's green buildings, sharing the benefits of green buildings. What's more special is that the building the delegation visited, built in 1997, has also been renovated into a green building and took only 2.5 years to recoup the investment. Currently, Delta has 32 green buildings worldwide.

At the recent COP28, Delta shared about its internal Carbon Tax initiative - Delta taxes Carbon at $300 for each ton of CO2 that the group's business units emit, this amount will be used to the group's innovation projects (two green buildings in the US of the group achieved LEED Net Zero Building certification from this money).

Next, the delegation visited and discussed with Micro Electricity Company at their headquarters located in the Taiwan 101 Tower. Established in 2015, Micro Electricity is a top provider of Solar Power solutions and services Taiwan. With the company's capabilities in data, Micro Electricity provides comprehensive solar power solutions based on different customer needs. Their solutions aim to help energy companies, consumers, investors as well as all citizens participate in the green energy ecosystem and gain benefits.

Among them, the energy management system (EMS) stands out as one of Micro Electricity's core solutions. EMS will digitalize all energy equipment. After that, the data will be uploaded to the cloud storage system to control, detect errors, and forecast electricity supply and demand. The system can create reports based on realtime database. At the same time, cash flow from electricity production and use activities is also forecast and displayed so that users can easily grasp it. Besides, Micro Electricity also provides other solutions such as PV O&M (Operation & Maintenance) or A.I to predict Solar Radiation and Renewable Power Output.

The business trip in Taiwan ended successfully. At the same time, it also opens up many cooperation opportunities for GREEN IN and its partners in Taiwan to help the Vietnamese business community make a green shift towards Net Zero.
