On November 24, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Bac Lieu province organized a seminar "New development trends contributing to realizing green growth goals and committing to net zero emissions" to begin the series with 11 energy transition activities under the companionship of Vietnam Green Innovation Joint Stock Company (GREEN IN).
From November 11 to the end of June 2023, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Bac Lieu Province (LHH) in conjunction with GREEN IN organizes a series of 6 activities on energy transition to contribute to the implementation of the Green growth plan, contributing to Vietnam's journey to actualzie its commitment to Net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2024. GREEN IN coordinated the activities with relevant Departments, Agencies, Unions, companies and businesses in the province.
On November 24, the workshop "New development trends contributing to realizing green growth goals and committing to zero net emissions" is the opening activity for the series. The workshop had the participation of the City People's Committee, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Bac Lieu Agricultural Recommendation Center, universities and colleges. Especially the exchange and participation of nearly 11 businesses such as Saigon Beer Joint Stock Company, Tom Viet Export Processing Joint Stock Company... representing the province's businesses that are facing difficulties and obstacles in accessing the field of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Bac Lieu has 05 enterprises on the list of establishments that must carry out GHG inventory according to Decision 01/2022 issued by the Government, expected to add 08 enterprises according to the draft on November 03, 11, and 2023 enterprises in the fields of seafood processing, beer production, and transportation are likely to be added in the near future. However, very few businesses understand the regulations on GHG inventory to proactively implement and increase competitiveness in the market.
