Strange "vertical garden" moving on water collects clean energy

This greenhouse can move on water, suitable for farming in urban areas with limited land and many people.

Eco-Barge is a floating greenhouse designed to grow organic food for urban areas while also producing clean energy. This greenhouse was launched by the architectural design company of Salt & Water (Serbia) to teach the people of Belgrade (Serbia) how to make urban vertical gardens.

This greenhouse will be located in urban water space - where land for growing food is scarce. Plants are grown vertically inside, helping to produce more food in a small space compared to traditional growing.

The greenhouse is placed floating on the urban water surface.

With ever-shrinking land in urban and suburban areas, non-traditional food growing methods are not only inspiring but necessary for those seeking organic produce. As the population grows, vertical gardening could be the future of farming for urban gardeners or commercial growers.

This greenhouse can help grow vegetables and trees in conditions where urban land area is increasingly limited.

The Eco Barge greenhouse features a system that can water plants on each floor while using less water than traditional growing methods.

What makes this greenhouse attractive is that it is portable. It can move around the water space to receive maximum natural light. Solar panels and wind turbines attached to the house provide all of the house's energy, including running fans and lights.

Wind turbines and solar panels generate energy for the entire greenhouse.

This floating greenhouse is not only a place for vertical gardening, but can also be a venue for vertical gardening workshops or lectures.
