INTEGRATING SUSTAINABLE ENERGY INTO THE MASTER PLAN OF THE METHODOLOGY REGION 2021-2030
In December, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Bac Lieu Province (Bac Lieu Federation) and GREEN IN organized a workshop: "Integrating sustainable energy development solutions towards green growth in the master plan economic and social development of the Mekong Delta provinces in the period 12 - 2021, vision to 2030".
The conference screened a documentary film with the following content: focusing on Green Growth and promoting the Mekong Delta as a National Clean Energy Center. 7 experts, managers, specialized science and technology intellectuals and in the LHH system from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and delegates discussed and proposed solutions to awaken the Mekong Delta region:
- Promote information and communication to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and communities
- Propagate the purpose and meaning of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing and stopping the use of fossil energy
- Promote sustainable energy development, towards green growth, and adapt to climate change in the region
This is an inevitable development trend of the region as well as of Vietnam and the world. In particular, with its strengths in renewable energy, the Mekong Delta region is currently pioneering in realizing many programs towards the Green Growth Strategy approved by the Prime Minister right before the COP26 Conference.
