Two more wind power plants in the coastal area of Soc Trang have come into operation

Wind power plant No. 5 has a total investment of over 2.400 billion VND, divided into 2 phases.
Phase 1 began construction on December 31, 12 with an investment of 2019 billion VND, with 1.450 turbines with a total capacity of 6MW, 30 1/22 kV-110 MVA transformer station and a 40km long 110 kV line connecting the project. project with the National Power Grid at two sections of Vinh Chau 9kV Substation expansion.

Mr. Pham Quoc Hung, Director of Quoc Vinh Soc Trang wind power plant, said the plant has an investment of 1.420 billion VND, with 6 turbines with a total capacity of 30MW.
According to the leaders of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province, the province is currently implementing wind power projects according to Power Planning VII (adjusted) with 20 projects with a total capacity of 1.435 MW.
Up to now, the province has 4 projects put into commercial operation with a total capacity of 110,8 MW.
The province has also asked the Central Government to continue supplementing the Power Plan VIII with wind power projects for the next phase with a total capacity of 6.358 MW including onshore wind power of 1.108 MW and offshore wind power of 5.250 MW.
