BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

 

  1. Introduce  

 Green Innovation Vietnam Joint Stock Company (GREEN IN), established in 2018, operates as a social enterprise and is a leading consulting firm specializing in green transformation and sustainable development for businesses. With a mission to advise on groundbreaking green transformation solutions that give businesses an advantage in the global value chain and create a sustainable impact on society, in addition to implementing activities in line with social and environmental commitments, GREEN IN focuses on ensuring the effective and high-quality delivery of the following activities and services: 

  • Greenhouse gas inventory, CBAM reporting, consulting and emission reduction planning for businesses. 
  • Building and practicing ESG strategy 
  • Quantifying the carbon footprint of products and goods 
  • Green human resource training, consulting, coaching green skills and working effectively and creatively. 
  • Rooftop solar installation 
  • Consulting and connecting green finance sources, project management consulting and startup support 
  • Conduct scientific research and develop integrated solutions in the fields of sustainable energy, green transportation, emission reduction, and green job creation. 

2. General Information

  • Job title: Business Development Director
  • Target location: Establishing a systematic business model, directly exploring the market, and leading the Sales/Marketing team to achieve revenue targets, the company positions itself as a leading green transformation consulting partner in Vietnam.

3. Main Duties and Responsibilities

a. Developing B2B Market Strategies & Expanding the Market (40%)

  • Research and analyze market trends regarding ESG regulations (GRI, ISSB), emission reduction roadmaps (Net-zero), and carbon markets (VCM/Article 6) to identify target customer segments (manufacturing corporations, FDI, listed companies, manufacturers participating in global supply chains).
  • Package the company's technical services/intellectual capital into attractive, accessible commercial solutions for businesses.
  • Develop and implement quarterly/annual revenue plans, breaking down targets for strategic product groups.

b. Hunting for and Closing Big Deals (30%)

  • Directly approach, negotiate, and finalize strategic consulting contracts and large-scale projects.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with the decision-making levels (C-level, Board of Directors) of strategic clients.

c. Team Management and Development (20%)

  • Directly manage, guide, and motivate the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), sales pipelines, and customer care processes using modern CRM tools.
  • Train the sales team on fundamental industry knowledge to enhance their ability to advise on solutions.

4. Competency requirements

Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in business development or senior-level B2B sales. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working at consulting firms (Big4, environmental/energy consulting firms) or financial institutions/investment funds, with a network of connections with businesses and business associations.

  • Professional knowledge:

A deep understanding of the green transition landscape in Vietnam.

Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (GRI, SASB) or the operating mechanisms of the carbon credit market is a mandatory advantage.

  • Core skills:
    • Commercial Negotiation Skills: The ability to persuade clients to pay for high-value intellectual consulting services.
    • Scale-up thinking: Having a systems mindset and knowing how to build processes can help small businesses achieve dramatic revenue growth (doubling their revenue).
    • Foreign Language: English proficiency This is a positive point when evaluating candidates.

6. Compensation Mechanism

  • Fixed salary: Competitive base salary.
  • Performance-based compensation (Commission/Incentive): Attractive percentage discount on actual revenue generated from contracts secured.
  • Other benefits: Other bonuses are based on performance and contributions to the company's development goals, along with other benefits such as health insurance packages and professional development training.
